My Well Planned Day Digital Planner
Review and Giveaway

by Donna on August 1, 2012

It’s August, summer is winding down and homeschool moms are winding up for a new school year.  I’ve seen countless photos on Facebook and twitter of homechool moms getting organized.  Homeschool moms are busy writing lesson plans and clearing out the clutter to get ready for the new year.

I love to do as much planning on my computer as possible.  I love it when everything syncs, so I can have my information with me everywhere.  A good digital day planner is very hard to find.  Trust me.  I’ve tried several.

When I went to the 2:1 conference back in April I met Jenny from the Home Educating Family.  I shared my love for all things techie and she told me all about My Well Planned Day Digital Planner.  I was convinced.  This program would be the answer!  I was NOT disappointed.

The Homeschool Module:

My Well Planned Day Digital Planner

  • Subjects
  • Curriculum
  • Literature
  • Assignments
  • Activities
  • Sports

The Home Management Module:

  •  Budgeting
  • Calendar
  • Chores
  • Menu
  • Memories
  • Projects
  • Shopping
  • To Do

I have a feeling that we will ease into using the homeschool features in the planner.  Because we are homeschooling a Kindergartener I will be using a quite flexible schedule and not as structured as I expect to be in future years.

I’ve already jumped into using the Home Management Features.  This software is impressive.  I’ve tried several different services, softwares, and apps and none of them even come close to being as extensive as My Well Planned Day.  They have thought of everything and they are making improvements all of the time.

Here are a few screen shots of the my favorite features that I will be using with our this year:

Great to have all the school tracking and home items on ONE piece of software. Also love that it’s internet based, so I can access it anywhere and don’t have to worry about my computer crashing and losing all that valuable information!

wendy thelen August 1, 2012 at 3:20 pm

What’s not to love. Everything looks great. I used their paper planner last year and loved it. I love the fact that I will not have to write everything out.

I love the fact that it not only tracks so wonderfully all my homeschool plans, grades, and other details, but also has widgets that help me in the rest of my day! And the graphics and set up are so pretty, it makes looking at it constantly that much more pleasurable!

PAULA August 1, 2012 at 4:52 pm

It does everything! No more having to have a million different lists and calenders. This would be so helpful with getting organized for our first year homeschooling.

MommaH August 1, 2012 at 5:42 pm

I have been busy the last couple days, but I am so excited to see what is different. I am loving the planner so far, only a few little “wonder ifs,” but I figure most of those with be dealt with now that the full version is coming out. : )

dena August 1, 2012 at 5:59 pm

The calendar section is my favorite.

m pelley August 1, 2012 at 6:05 pm

I’ve always felt a little intimidated by all things “techie” but this software seems well thought out and easy to use. Winning a copy might launch my home school days down a whole new road!

Oh, it’s too much to choose from to have just ONE! :)

I just talked to a friend and am really interested in this.

Gale-Ann August 14, 2012 at 11:24 pm

I love all of the features, but since we’re only in the pre-school phase of home schooling, the home management feature currently trumps the rest.

Deb May 3, 2014 at 5:19 pm

Are you still using MWPD? I, like you, loved this at first but after almost two full school years of trying to make this software work for me I am ready to throw in the towel. It is still not a fully functioning online planner. Have you had others share this experience? I would love to see some online reviews that are more recent than fall of 2012. Thanks for your thoughts.
